We need to get around 115 trophies to ensure a win. In a war with 45 opponents, that's three starring 25 bases and two starring the remaining 20. The war rules give us a structure to help make that happen with some regularity. Unfortunately, the only apparatus we have to enforce the war rules is to kick/demote.
Please check here before war, as these rules are subject to change.
- In the first four hours of war, bases -4/-15 of your map position with 0/1 star are fair game
- that means if you are number 20, you can attack from 24-35 on the opposing team as long as they have zero or one star against them.
- Players ranked 1-5 have less of a choice. 1 takes 1,2; 2 takes 3,4; 5 takes 9,10.
- After the first four hours (20:00 on the war clock) concentrate on adding stars
- if you're number 20, now you can attack from 25 to the bottom of the opposing team's roster, as long as they have a star available for you to take
- if there are no available stars within your -4/-15 range, you must attack the lowest opponent with an available star.
- NEVER can you attack an already 3 starred opponent.
- Attack like you mean it, both times
- Lure and kill the opponent's clan castle first, before attacking the base
- NO FARMING ARMIES! Barbs and archers should be no more than 10% of your army
- Use full camps
- Use all spells
- Use your heroes
- Take a full clan castle
- IF YOU ARE UPGRADING SPELLS OR HEROES DURING WAR (and this is good, because it means you're getting stronger) wait until 20:00 to do your attacks, or sit out war in Midas' Wish. Typically, if you have no spells, you can't even 2 star in your range.
- Pick your opponent with attainable NOT available stars as the primary consideration.
- For Example: It's after 20:00 and you are number 20. Number 15 has 3 stars available but number 32, 33 and 34 have two stars available. You should attack 34 - you have a much better chance of adding 2 stars by attacking 34 than you do number 15.
