The Standard Army:
- 2 Golems
- 1 Pekka
- 9-15 Wall Breakers (no fewer than 9)
- Rest Wizards
- Spells: 1 Jump, 2 Freeze, 2 Rage
- All of this is changeable - you can add a 3rd golem, you can sub witches for some of the wizards - but for a standard GoWiPe, this is the basic army.
THE BASE
This is Joe's peaceful village, brimming with loot for the taking . . . the first task is establishing where we are attacking this base to smash it to bits and take Joe's loot.
Where to Attack?
First, locate the infernos. You want to take them on one at a time, not both at once. Especially set on 'multi', 2 infernos kick out 10 death rays, and cook your troops quickly.
Second, locate the heroes. I have had way more success attacking the king-side of a base, rather than queen-side. On some bases you can't really choose, but if you have a choice, challenge the king first.
Third, Imagine a line thru the inferno towers. We want to place a golem above this line, a golem below, and place the main attack as close to the line as possible.
Making Joe Regret the Day He was Born
Placement of Golems - one above the line, one below so that you distract the greatest number of defenses possible.
Targeting the Wall Breakers. Before we place any other troops, we need to get the Golems inside the base. Place wallbreakers roughly where you put the golems so the golems get in the base quickly. NOTE: do your best to avoid wizard towers and mortar shells, which can wipe wall breakers out with a single shot.
Preventing the Parade - place two wizards on each of these structures. The upper elixir pump and lower gold mine. By taking out these structures, we hop to prevent the "parading Pekka" that everyone laughs about.
Main Attack: Once the pump and mine are gone, place everything else on this line. Pekka, heroes, and the rest of your wizards. Don't hesitate . . . it all goes here. Just remember the order: Pekka, Heroes, Wizards.
Spell Placement: Green circle is Jump, Blue is Freeze, Purple is Rage. Jump first, to get in the center, then freeze an inferno once it begins to select wizards. For the most part, let your golems, pekka and heroes burn. They can take it. As soon as you freeze an inferno, place a rage to get your troops to it as quickly as possible.
For the most part, all of the thinking for GoWipe takes place before you do the attack. During the attack, the only things you need to be concerned with are spell timing/placement, and properly using your heroes' abilities. Every GoWiPe attack is nearly identical, so once you get the process down, you can two star almost any base.
